Probikx/Champikx Round 1 – Mackay.
The Round 1 of the Probikx/Champikx is held in Mackay on the Saturday 25th September 2010. This is for 13 – 16 Years (Champikx) and Junior & Senior Elite (Probikx).

Tuesday 7th September 2010
Training is ON – Please be advised that the Tuesday Training times are as follows
ALL SPROCKETS 5.00pm to 6.00pm
8 to 11 YEAR OLD ROOKIES 5.00pm to 6.00pm
12 to 14+ ROOKIES 6.00pm to 8.00pm
8 & OVER EXPERT RIDERS 6.00pm to 8.00pm
ALL ADULT RIDERS 6.00pm to 8.00pm
For the safety of all riders it is important that the Sprockets and 8-11 Rookies are only allowed on the Track between 5.00 -6.00pm ONLY.
Weather permitting. If it is rained out I will put a notice on the website..
Wednesday Coaching – 8th September 2010
With the State Titles only a few weeks away we have decided to run the coaching session this Wednesday as well.
- Sprockets and brand new younger riders are from 5.15pm to 6.15pm
- 8 to 14 year olds from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Cost is $5 a rider or $10 for family, payable to either Leanne or Emma.
Details are on the ‘Coaching’ page to the right.
Thursday’s – Jon ’s Coaching.
Please note that the track is closed to members between 4.30pm – 5.30pm on Thursday afternoons for Jon Geck and Alan Muller’s Coaching Group.
At present this coaching group is at the allowable limit but it will be advertised if a spot becomes available.
Friday Racing - 10th September 2010
This is our last racing night before the State Titles, the following Friday (17th) will be a practise night due to most people heading down to Mackay.
Registration before 6.30pm and racing to start at 7pm.
Practise times are
6.00pm to 6.30pm – ALL age riders & cruiser classes
6.30pm to 6.45pm – ALL Pro Riders
6.45pm to 7.00pm – ALL Sprockets
Also ensure you have nominated on time for your class. You can nominate in person at the window from 5.30pm to 6.30pm or Phone nominations up until 6pm.
Pie Drive – Don’t forget to pickup your pies this Friday.

Bike Maintenance Info Afternoon – Saturday 11th September 2010.
If you are not sure how to look after the kids (and your) bikes then this is the session for you!
Harold Weber is holding a ‘Bike Maintenance Info Afternoon’ next Saturday, 11th September from either 2 – 3pm or 3 – 4pm.
Its free to come along, just bring your bike and if you have a Allen Key Set and a 10mm open end spanner, bring them too. Harold will give you the basic in keeping your bike in tip top shape and the neccessary tools that you will need.

The Hoad and Gunn Family are having a fundraiser to help them compete in New Zealand.
Both Mitchell Hoad and Ashleigh Gunn has been selected to represent Australia in the 14/15 Year and Mighty 11’s Test Team.

Saturday – 21st August 2010 – Festival Parade
We are meeting at Munroe Martin Park at 4.00pm, we have a few aussie stickers, lights etc for our aussie theme, you might have a few ideas yourself!
Please wear full race gear, including your full face helmet and flat pedals, we will be riding slow along the esplanade.
You can either Walk or Ride in the parade, if you have any questions please contact the club or see below for the Information Flyer.

One of our club members has had a BMX bike stolen from Yanchep Close, Kewarra Beach.
It is a Mini Freeagent, white with red writing, Bike # 33.
If you live in the northern suburbs please keep an eye out. If you think you have seen this bike then please contact the police.

Congratulations to Cairns members Aislynn Weber and Ashleigh Gunn who got world # 5 at the 2010 BMX World Championships over in South Africa this weekend, well done Girls!
The Elite riders raced last night and there was great racing by all our Aussies.
I have to mention Rachel Bracken from Townsville who got #W6 in the Elite Womens Final, well done Rachel!
