Did you see us at Cairns Central on Saturday?  Thankyou to all the people that helped out over last few weeks.

The display at each venue looked great!

TUESDAY TRAINING – $2.00 per rider.

No Sprockets

5.00 – 8.00pm – All riders 8 years & over.

WEDNESDAY SPROCKET TRAINING – $2.00 per rider

5.00 – 6.00pm – 7 Years and Under.

There will be at least one coach available to assist the sprockets and answer any questions.

The office will be open.

FRIDAY RACING

You  will need your Licence Card for registration and number plate for scoring.

Practise times are:

6.00pm to 6.30pm – ALL age riders & cruiser classes

6.30pm to 6.45pm – ALL Pro Riders

6.45pm to 7.00pm – ALL Sprockets

Registration closes at 6.30pm and racing starts at 7pm.

Come N Try Day – Sunday – 9am to 12pm.

We are having our annual Come N Try Day!

The track is open to the community to come down to the track and have a ride for free and see if the enjoy this sport.

They will need to bring their bike, helmet, long sleeve shirt, gloves, long pants, shoes and socks.

If anyone can spare some time on Sunday to help out it would be greatly appreciated.

One of the exciting things to come out of BMXQ in 2012 is their commitment to spend a significant amount of time and money into developing our coaching needs throughout the state at club and zone level.

BMXQ have worked in conjunction with BMX Australia and Cycling Australia to redevelop the coaching course structures specifically for BMX. 

The new structure is as follows: 

•Beginner BMX Coach
•Level 1 BMX Coach
•Level 2 BMX Coach 

The club is encouraging for everyone to get behind the Beginner BMX Coaching Course which is an entry-level course aimed at people who want to coach a novice or sprocket level BMX rider.

I have attached the course information sheet for your perusal.  We are looking for expressions of interest at this stage for anyone who maybe interested in participating in this course.  Can you please advise via email to fmundie@bigpond.net.au by 13th February if you are interested so we can then forward the numbers to BMXQ to complete our survey.

You won’t know until you give it a try but coaching just may be your thing!!!

Now that we have updated you with our new changes, please print our Cairns BMX Club Calendar for 2012 and keep handy so you know when we have Training, Racing, Carnivals and Working Bees.
