Coaching and Riders

Club coaching sessions run on Mondays and some Wednesdays for smaller groups. Tuesday Gates will often include a bit of ad-hoc coaching too. Just track down a friendly face and we’ll see what we can do!

Coaching is available for all levels of riders; please check with the list of coaches at the Pro Shop. Coaching sessions are set at a ratio of 1 coach to 12 riders so spots are limited.

Club Coaching is 4.30pm-5.30pm for beginner and intermediate riders. The cost is $10 per session per rider.

You must register online via EntryBoss – the link for this is provided via Facebook either on the Sunday night before, or the day of coaching.

We have a number of “club level” coaches on hand at most events.

BMX Riders and Age Groups

Mini Wheelers

Friday: 5pm – 6pm

Mini-Wheelers is a great session for those little riders who still love to have their feet on the ground on a balance bike.
Typically kids ages between 2-7years old and must be accompanied by an adult on the track.
The usual safety gear is still required with the addition of knee and elbow pads.

Coaching available by one of our lovely volunteers on the track.

Mini Sprockets

Friday (Practice): 5pm – 6pm

Mini-Sprockets is all about getting used to the track. These crazy kids can ride a bike and with a bit of help can make it around the track. Riders must have supervision while on the track.

Sprockets

Tuesday (Gates): 5pm-6pm

Friday: Practice from 6.45pm Racing from 7pm

Sprockets can pedal hard but still learning to focus on their skills while still under the age of 8. These kids are tuning their BMX skills in a fun non-competitive environment.

Aged Riders (8years+)

Tuesday (Gates): 6pm-8pm

Friday (Practice): 6.30pm Racing from 7pm

For all those other riders, over the age of 8years old, this is you! You can pedal, you have the skills and the gear and with a bit of luck, ready to race!
